Abstract

A detailed dynamic analysis is performed that incorporates the response from eight possible earthquakes. These earthquakes are for the Tokyo metropolitan area. The building under study is a 550 meter super‐high‐rise building. The fundamental horizontal period of vibration is approximately 6 seconds and the damping is near 2 per cent.
