Abstract

Size dependence of switching current and energy barrier in the magnetization reversal of rectangular magnetic random access memory cell was investigated. Results showed that the amplitude of switching current was proportional to t/w, while that of energy barrier was proportional to wt2. It was found that the margin of the switching current for selective write operation was decreased with decreasing the lateral aspect ratio of the cell.
