Abstract

The Distributed Computing System (DCS) is a network architecture being developed at the University of California, Irvine. The main goal of the DCS is to develop an integrated hardware and software system which provides reliable, fail-soft service at low cost. The emphasis is laid on the detection of and recovery from software error.
