Abstract

Several experiments are reported in order to assign more of the stimulated lines to those of the A SIGMA to X SIGMA transition and to examine if any assigned fluorescence lines can be stimulated, if the wavelengths of the stimulated emissions properly localize around 800 nm or how many lines are stimulated when a single transition line is excited. The experiments include (1) the excitation by a pulsed dye laser at wavelengths from 600 to 633 nm, (2) the excitation by the same laser but tuned precisely to the He-Ne laser wavelength, (3) the excitation by a ruby laser, and (4) the excitation by an amplified cw-dye-laser tuned to polarization-labeled transitions.
