Abstract
Both isochromatic and isoclinic lines were determined for slow external flows about a circular cylinder with the aqueous solution of Acid Millling Yellow H5G. The results were compared with those obtained by Gel Birefringence Method with 15 wt % gelatin gel. Stress distributions obtained from the birefringence patterns were also compared with each other.
