Syndromes and diseases of the pancreas

Research output: Contribution to journalReview articlepeer-review

Pancreatic diseases are often concerned with systemic or heredity diseases. Some pancreatic findings are keys to find systemic syndromes, such as IgG4-related disease, von Hippel-Lindau disease and multiple endocrine neoplasm. Some systemic symptoms also lead to find pancreatic disorders, such as insulinoma, gastrinoma and VIPoma. Pancreas has both endocrine and exocrine aspects, so pancreatic abnormalities also set up endocrine and exocrine symptoms. In this review, we would like to show typical diseases related to the pancreas.
