N2 - The paper reports new measurements of the thermal conductivity of mixtures of carbon dioxide with the three monatomic gases helium, neon and argon. The measurements have been performed at 27.5°C and in the pressure range 0.7-11 MPa. The accuracy of the reported data is estimated to be one of ±0.3%. In the limit of zero-density the existing kinetic theory formulae do not represent the experimental data within their uncertainty. In particular, for argon-carbon dioxide mixtures the equations fail qualitatively owing to the importance of inelastic collisions. At elevated densities a semi-empirical calculation scheme provides only a moderate representation of the experimental results.
