Thresholdless lasing with quantum dot gain

Abstract

We demonstrate thresholdless lasing with quantum dot gain, operated under cavity resonant excitation. The lasing behavior is systematically compared with that under conventional above bandgap excitation, providing a firm verification of the thresholdless operation.
