抄録
A 73-year-old man with acute epiglottitis developed descending nectotizing mediastinitis and abscess in the axillary space. Surgical drainage of the abscess via transcervical and transthoracic approaches was performed. Postoperative course was successful and the patient was discharged 33 days after surgery.
