N2 - A case of actinomycosis of the transverse colon was reported. A 41-year- old female was admitted to our hospital with complaints of abdominal pain and low-grade fever. A fist-sized tumor was palpated in the periumbilical region. Abdominal CT revealed that the mass was mainly in the intraabdominal cavity and was adhered to the abdominal wall. At laparotomy, the mass was found to be a comglomerate involving the greater omentum, abdominal wall, transverse colon, and jejunum. The affected segments of the transverse colon and jejunum were resected. A pathological examination revealed typical and diagnostic 'sulphur granules (Druse)' in the resected specimen, and the diagnosis was colonic actinomycosis. Recently, abdominal and colonic actinomycoses have been relatively rare, but the possibility of these disease should be taken into consideration as causes of intraabdominal inflammatory pseudotumoes.
