We report a case of fibrolamellar carcinoma of the liver of a 17-year- old woman. Fibrolamellar carcinoma is a rare liver tumor in Japanese. CT showed central tumor calcification. The tumor was presented as a cold area in 99mTc-inositol hexaphosphate cintigram and a hot area in gallium scan. A central scar of the tumor was seen both on CT and MRI. It is low signal intensity on T1- and T2-weighted images. It is present in focal nodular hyperplasia. A central scar of FNH is high signal intensity on T2-weighted image. From this point, MRI is useful for the differential diagnosis between fibrolamellar carcinoma and FNH.
