N2 - Transparent polymers free of birefringence and scattering polymers free of wavelength dependency are demonstrated. They enable us to improve performance of optical films, pressure sensitive adhesives and backlights. Based on these polymers, we propose a novel LCD structure using a directional backlight and a scattering film.
