抄録
This paper describes three types of applications of the Direct Memory Access (DMA) paradigm to natural language understanding, namely 1) machine translation; 2) speech understanding; 3) natural language interfaces. The results of research utilizing the DMA approach at Center for Machine Translation (CMT) at Carnegie Mellon University in these three areas are reported.
