抄録

Surface modifications on a poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) microchannel were conducted by O2 plasma treatment, silanization with silane coupling agent and PEGylation with poly(ethyleneglycol) (PEG) sequentially. The effects were quantitatively examined by measuring the electroosmotic flow velocity using micron-resolution particle image velocimetry (micro-PIV) and the zeta-potential. The electroosmotic flow velocity and the zeta-potential were changed significantly due to the surface compositions.
