Enzymatic synthesis of biodegradable fumarate oligomer

抄録

Biodegradable fumarate oligomers from dimer to tetramer were selectively prepared by the oligomerization of diethyl fumarate using laccase and hydrogen peroxide in various organic solvents. As a typical example, diethyl fumarate was oligomerized using laccase and hydrogen peroxide in ethanol at 60°C for 24 hours to produce the fumarate trimer in 80% yield. Sodium salt of fumarate trimer was biodegraded by the activated sludge.
