Health monitoring is a key technology for gigantic structures. The sensor network [1], introduced in this paper, is an intelligent sensor node network for permanent health monitoring of gigantic structures. The wired sensor network consists of commercial network equipments. We implemented a fine time synchronization system in the sensor network. The results showed jitter of sensors with 190m separation to be within 1.53 microseconds. This sensor network, we call it sensor grid, achieves a low cost and high precision time synchronization network.
