Probe Vehicle Information System is designed to collect and share valuable information from vehicles via certain information infrastructure. On the other hand, behaviour of anti-lock braking system (ABS) or sudden steering manoeuvre indicates slippery place. Such information is effective for safety driving, but the information on a place without operation is unacquirable. This paper proposes a driver assistance system of sharing road friction levels estimated from probe vehicle by using rotational information from the wheels. The estimation to determine the road friction is based on the characteristics of the tire ì-s curve. Probe vehicle transmitted road friction levels to a center by the Internet. It confirmed in the real experiment that information could be gathered from probe vehicles.
