N2 - The application of a new rhodamine-based fluorescent probe, RH–NH23and an acyl transfer promoter, PBu3, to Hela cells induced a time-dependent increase in fluorescence in the mitochondria, which was most likely due to acetylation of RH–NH23with activated acetyl-CoA by the artificial reaction promoter in living cells.
