N2 - This paper describes a microfluidic-based water/oil droplets-train reflective display using dyed water as pixel element. Our display was composed of a thin PDMS sheet with a connected pixel-patte rn meandering microchannel. Several types of dyed water and transparent oil were sequentially introduced in the microchannel. One of features in proposed display is pixel size and shape, which minimizes the loss of dyed water in the microchannel. Therefor we successfully demonstrated to display several al phabet letters. We believe that our microfluidic approach could pave the way to low energy consumption, transparent, flexible and full-color reflective display.
