N2 - I will present our recent results on two distinct topological aspects of non-Hermitian physics. First, I discuss the unconventional quantum phase transition and critical phenomena in the parity-time-symmetric sine-Gordon model, which can be realized in ultracold atoms. Second, I talk about the role of topology in nonequilibrium phases of non- Hermitian systems and present a possible topological classification and its relevance to the Hatano-Nelson model.
