We propose two extended RM AV protocols in order to adapt to traffic pattern flexibly. At first, we propose the RM AV in which the frame length can increase in the next frame as many as slots the terminal needs, while in conventional RM AV the frame length increases one slot in the next frame. It is shown that the proposed model can attain lower value of mean message delay and the more rapid convergence speed than the conventional RM AV. Next, we propose the protocol with the function that supports prioritized traffic by using the variable maximum of the slots that the terminal can reserve in one frame for the terminal of each class. It is shown that the performance of the higher priority class can attain better performance compared to the lower priority class.
