This paper considers the performance of quadrature partial response signaling (QPRS) systems using complex transversal filters with additional decision-feedback (DF) taps, in the presence of single continuous wave (CW) interference and colored noise. Both one- and two-sided DF filters are considered. First, the general analytic expressions are obtained for the optimum tap weights and minimum mean square errors (MSE). Next, the output signal-to-noise ratio and the frequency response of both DF filters in three types of QPRS systems, e.g., duobinary, dicode and modified duobinary system are calculated. The transient behavior of DF filters also is considered.
