The time sidelobe reduction technique using TSSWA (Two-Sample Sliding Window Adder) twice is known as to be effective for the binary coded pulse compression. In this paper, the S/N loss induced by the double TSSWAs is estimated and the performance of the double TSSWAs is compared with the other mismatched filter techniques in terms of the PSL and S/N loss. It is then shown that, when compared at the same PSL (peak sidelobe level), the double TSSWAs have better S/N performance than the conventional mismatched filter. Another result introduced in this paper is the performance of the proposed technique verified by the real wave of the actual radar system. It is confirmed that the PSL of the proposed technique is lower compared with the conventional in the actual environments as well as in the theory.
