N2 - Zero-zero-birefringence polymers which exhibit neither orientational nor photoelastic birefringence were successfully prepared with multiple compositions in a quaternary copolymerization system. Therefore, characteristics other than birefringence can be controlled appropriately for use applications such as polarizer protective films and light guide plates for polarized laser backlight, while maintaining zero-zero-birefringence.
